Don't Let One Failure Become a New Identity

Perhaps one of the greatest obstacles to reaching a health goal is the “all or nothing” thinking: “I failed, so I might as well quit.”
But failure is an event, not an identity.
Remember: “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.” Proverbs 24:16.

The question isn't whether you will ever have a bad day. We all have bad days. The question is: What will you do after the bad day?
The best answer is: Stand up again! Learn from it. Adjust the plan. Report in. And continue the race.
In Better Together: A Health Challenge Club we avoid the word failure and call these events experiments. We keep experimenting until we find the right combination for success.
Keep Moving with Progression over Perfection
Recognize progress. If you have walked or done other exercises consistently for a week, celebrate that accomplishment. If you have developed a healthier eating pattern, acknowledge it. If your energy has improved, praise God! But don't confuse reaching one milestone with reaching the finish line.
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14.
There is always another step in our cooperation with Jesus for Life and Health.
The goal is not merely to complete a 30-day challenge. The goal is to develop a way of living that can continue for the rest of your life.

Perhaps you have a health goal you've been thinking about for months, or even years.
Maybe you know what you need to do, but you've struggled to stay consistent.
Maybe you start strong but lose your focus.
Maybe you need someone to encourage you, help you overcome obstacles.
If that sounds familiar, Better Together was designed for you.
Join Better Together and starting the Journey to better health today.
