Ginger Apples

Yield: 4 servings Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients: 5 apples
1-inch cube fresh ginger root or 1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 Tablespoon whole wheat pastry flour
Directions:
Peel, core and slice apples and put in a large skillet.
Quarter and core remaining apple and pass them through a juicer.
Pour half of the juice over sliced apples and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
Add ginger and flour to remaining apple juice and mix well.
When liquid in skillet is boiling add remaining juice mixture and stir well and constantly. Once it starts to thicken, remove from heat, it will thicken too much if left on the heat.
Serve warm or cold.
