Tasty Tuesday: Non-Dairy Alfredo Sauce

Non-Dairy Alfredo Sauce

Yield: 4 cups



  • 1 cup water                                                              

  • 1 cup raw cashews  

  • 3 Tablespoons cornstarch                                     

  • 1½ teaspoon onion powder                                  

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder                                     

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice

  • 3 Tablespoons non-dairy parmesan cheese      

  • 2 ounces non-dairy white cheese                        


  1. Blend cashews with water in blender on high, until creamy smooth(no grittiness).

  2. Add cornstarch, seasonings, water, and lemon juice to blender and blend until lemon juice to blender and blend until creamy.

  3. Pour into a medium saucepan. Add cheeses and heat mixture overmedium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

  4. Enjoy and Bon Appétit!


Variations: Can substitute 8-ounces non-dairy cream cheese for either parmesan or white cheese.
