In this retreat haven, from the creek flowing gracefully over waterfalls and cascades, to the
beautiful sunrises and sunsets, to the green fields and lofty woods, the natural surroundings create a supportive, cozy, and peaceful atmosphere; a sanctuary for learning the essentials for taking control of your health, improving your immune system; the healing and restoration you desire so you can be Cancer-Free and Care-Free.
You enter the retreat center to find your accommodations simple, pleasant, and comfortable and you sense the presence of God with you and peace fills your heart, knowing this is the place God has chosen for you to learn how to be well again.
On the scenic porches of the Victorian home, you will feel invited to pause and take in the view of Clifty Creek with its rock ledges, waterfalls and cascades, and be amused as you watch the abundance of wildlife.
You will find yourself drawn to Sanctuary Overlook for some reflective moments with the spectacular view of the pond and garden, the perfect setting for both solitude or heartfelt conversations.
Sunny Dawn Acres offers a range of unique retreat features to enhance your stay. You will have the opportunity to explore artifacts of the past. From the ruin remains of Grandma Oliver to wagon wheels pulled from the creek to cool, small artifacts like an old compass.
During an open-air Polaris ride you will tour the expanse of Sunny Dawn Acres and breathe in the fresh air and view the breath-taking scenery of the mountain ranges.
As we descend to the bottom of the hill we pause so you can dip your feet in the clear, cool, refreshing water of Clifty Creek.
Enjoy hiking the beautiful cascading creeks for deeper physical immersion into God’s creation.
