Cheez Sauce without the Cheese
Yield: 6 ¼-cup servings
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons roasted red peppers
1 Tablespoon nutritional yeast
1 Tablespoon tapioca flour
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup raw cashews
½ Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup water
Directions:
Place first eight ingredients in blender in the order given.
Add water and blend until creamy smooth. Add the additional water if necessary.
Pour into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
Serve. Bon Appétit!
Hints: Can be frozen but must be re-blended after thawing.
