Tasty Tuesday-Cheez Sauce without the Cheese



Cheez Sauce without the Cheese

Yield: 6 ¼-cup servings


Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons roasted red peppers

  • 1 Tablespoon nutritional yeast

  • 1 Tablespoon tapioca flour

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ cup raw cashews

  • ½ Tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 cup water


Directions:

  1. Place first eight ingredients in blender in the order given.

  2. Add water and blend until creamy smooth. Add the additional water if necessary.

  3. Pour into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

  4. Serve. Bon Appétit!

Hints: Can be frozen but must be re-blended after thawing.
