Tasty Tuesday-Non-Dairy Alfredo Sauce

Non-Dairy Alfredo Sauce

Yields: 4 cups


  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 3 Tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1½ teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice

  • 3 Tablespoons non-dairy parmesan cheese

  • 2 ounces of non-dairy white cheese


  1. Blend cashews with water in a blender on high until creamy smooth (no grittiness).

  2. Add cornstarch, seasonings, water, and lemon juice to a blender and blend until creamy. Pour into a medium saucepan.

  3. Add cheeses and place mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

  4. Serve.

Variations: You can substitute 8-ounce non-dairy cream cheese for either parmesan or white cheese.
