Simple Millet

Yield: 6 1/2-cup servings
Simple Millet Ingredients:
3 cups water
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup millet
Directions:
Combine water and salt in a small saucepan and bring water to a boil. Blend millet to a grit powder in blender.
When water is boiling whisk in millet. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
Served topped with Bean Cream.
Bean Cream
Yield: 6 1/2-cup servings
Ingredients:
1 15-ounce can navy beans with liquid
1/4 cup raw cashews
2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 15-ounce can navy beans
Directions:
Combine first seven ingredients in blender and blend until creamy smooth. Add 2-4 Tablespoons of water as needed to
blender. Pour Bean Cream into saucepan. Add additional beans and heat over medium heat stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
Heat to desired temperature.
Serve over Simple Millet
